Promoting physical activity and the Mediterranean diet among professionals

In 2020, UPNA and Navarra Primary Care Management collaborated in the preparation of various audiovisual materials, the main objective of which is to promote physical exercise among the elderly and to provide personalized prescriptions of adapted physical exercise to their health professionals.
Since then, the Vivifrail program has been used on a day-to-day basis in many health centers, both in individual counseling and in group physical exercise workshops and community functions, with the aim of promoting healthy aging among the elderly. Similarly, Vivifrail is used by the HUN Geriatric Service, both for the prevention of functional decline during admission and at discharge to improve the physical condition of patients.
The Vivifrail project has a recommendation from the Ministry of Health and is part of a strategy to promote health and quality of life in the European Union.
