The actress, who played Sky Mangle as a child in Australian soap ‘Neighbours’, has died in her sleep.
Miranda Fryer, 34, starred in Shop for three years from the age of 18 months and was the on-screen daughter of Joe Mangel (Mark Little) and Carey Bishop (Linda Hartley-Clark).
He died at his home in Glen Iris, Melbourne, last Thursday, the Mirror reported.
In a tribute, her family said: “True soul mates, Miranda and Arthur (Pothitis) were planning to start their own family when one day last week she fell asleep and never woke up. We don’t know why.”
“She had some health problems in her heart, maybe her beautiful personality was too good for this world of ours. We, who loved her dearly, will cherish the memories she left us and mourn our loss forever.” Will celebrate
“A beautiful child, a stunning teenager, beautiful inside and out… A woman, who has been given and received so much love and happiness. So many friends, there is still so much this world has to offer.”
The character Sky returned in Neighbors, but was played by another actress.
After her time on the soap, Miranda, who married Arthur Pothitis in 2020, quit acting and was studying to become a nurse.
Miranda’s mother Tracy Hunter told the Herald Sun: “She was the most wonderful daughter. She had a lot of love and passion for life.
“She was a really kind person, almost too good to be true … Miranda was liked by everyone.
“She just fell asleep and didn’t wake up. It’s a terrible shock to all of us.”
He is believed to have had a heart problem but the cause of death has not been confirmed.
