The prime minister is scheduled to travel to Italy for high-level meetings on Thursday, one of Netanyahu’s first trips abroad since he took over as prime minister.
The Prime Minister’s Office had arranged for a Boeing 777 plane to transport the Prime Minister and his cabal, but no El Al pilot certified to fly the plane could register to fly it.

The new bid, which included Arkia and Israir airlines, was for the Boeing 737, as were those airlines that do not use 777s. El Al finally won who also bid. Channel 12 reported that it did so by proposing a minimum price and would generate damages of $22,000 for El Al.
