Child prodigies are young children who master one or more areas of knowledge before the age of 10, as if they were an adult or with even greater skill.

The prodigy’s biographical accounts themselves provide interesting insights. They show that most child prodigies spend a lot of time learning and studying, whatever child prodigies experience serious problems that appear to be related to the unusual early years of their life, and that rarely child prodigies They are born in families that do not provide good learning opportunities.

In the case of children who excel in music, a study by Chanel Marion-Saint-Onge found that practice alone does not produce any prodigies, but is expected to have brain prodigies from those prodigies who are a prodigy. The tools facilitate their success in learning, which can be enhanced by early and intensive practice that occurs at a time when brain plasticity is at its greatest.

In another investigation conducted to investigate neuroanatomical differences in the memory systems of intellectual talent, structural and diffusion-weighted MRI were used to compare regional brain size and connectivity in 12 children with average IQs. IQ over 145.

That research found that the memory systems in the brains of children with exceptional intellectual ability are different in size and wiring than the brains of typically developing children. These different neurodevelopmental trajectories suggest different learning strategies.
