The fattest in all the glory of the ROG Phone
What do gamers want? Why, big numbers, of course. Exaggerate, if you can afford to sprinkle them. A lot has been promised with the launch of the Asus ROG Phone 6 on Tuesday, which includes a 165Hz AMOLED display and a full-contact CPU cooling status. Leaks have also distributed, along with render after picture after spoiling the merchandise. Now, the curtain is lifted and we are left with pictures of the phone adorned with accessories. The photos come from WinFuture and they show the device in its thick and shiny glory. how thick? Going by the specifications coming from China’s Telecom Equipment Certification Center, it will be around 10.39mm thick – surprisingly, 0.1mm thicker than the ROG Phone 5 and the thickest in the ROG Phone lineage. It’ll be a gram heavier at 239 grams, but also a gram shy of the ROG Phone 2 and 3’s massiveness. Other details include a 50MP main camera, rear-facing dot-matrix display and maximum memory configuration. 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, though WinFuture’s Roland Quandt reports there will be a total of six configurations, combining 128GB and 256GB of storage, along with 8GB, 12GB and 16GB of RAM. Of course, if you’ve been following news of this device, you’ll also know that Asus is bragging about the ROG Phone 6, which will be among the first devices to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. is one.
Previous render leaks have shown the phone with two key attachable accessories: a cooling fan and a gamepad. Not much has been done about the pricing of any of these wares just yet, but given that the base model ROG Phone 5 arrived in the United States for $1,000, we think it’ll at least start out.
