The country’s leading car manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra recently launched its new SUV Mahindra XUV 700. Now for the next year, the company is preparing to bring Mahindra eKUV100 electric mini SUV and Mahindra eXUV300 electric subcompact SUV. Along with this, now a recent report has revealed that Mahindra may bring new mild hybrid technology to the next-gen Bolero and Scorpio.
The new mild hybrid technology will help the company meet the CAFA (Corporate Average Fuel Economy) and RDE (Real Driving Emission) norms to be implemented in 2022. The aim of these regulations is to reduce vehicle fuel consumption by reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. Let us know that the official launch timeline of the new Bolero is yet to come. Whereas, the new generation Scorpio is expected to arrive in early 2022.

This will be the new Bolero
Along with changing the generation, the new Bolero could use a ladder-on-frame chassis, which is also found in the new Thar. The same architecture will be used in the 2022 Scorpio as well. If reports are to be believed, the new model of the Bolero SUV can come with 2.2L turbo diesel and 2.0L turbo petrol engine options. The company could also use the Marazzo’s 1.5L turbo diesel and 1.5L turbo petrol engines. It will come in both manual and automatic gearbox.

This will be the new Scorpio
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio can get better styling, more features and new engine options. Talking about the engine, the SUV can get 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines, which will give power of 150bhp and 158bhp respectively. It can get options of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV could get a redesigned dashboard, touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, and an electric sunroof.
