Japan’s leading automaker Suzuki has launched its famous car WagonR Smile in the domestic market. This car with an MPV look and design with sliding doors has been launched in the Japanese market for the time being. The company has fixed the starting price of this car at 1.29 million yen (about Rs 8.30 lakh). At the same time, the price of its top variant has been fixed at 1.71 million yen (about Rs 11.44 lakh).
Suzuki aims that the company will sell 60,000 units of this car every year, i.e. the target has been set to sell 5,000 cars every month. This boxy-looking car has been designed by the company like a mini-van. At the front, round shape headlights have been given decorating the radiator grille with chrome.
If you look at the side profile, then sliding doors (doors) are seen in it. Not only this, the height of this car is also about 45mm more than the regular WagonR model. The dual tone paint scheme is also being offered with the taillamps in the vertical shape at the rear.
The company has also made the interior of the car very special. It has a gearknob attached to the dashboard. Apart from this, the cabin has been decorated with dual tone theme with touchscreen infotainment system, mounted steering wheel. Its interior also looks quite cute, which has been designed keeping in mind the youth.
The new WagonR Smile comes with analog instrumentation with under-seat storage, multiple upholstery options, and a smaller multi information display. Apart from this, the brand is offering a customization package for the WagonR Smile which will include decals, body kit, roof rails, alloy wheels and other accessories to give your car a unique look and design.
The company has used a naturally aspirated petrol engine with 3 cylinders of 657cc capacity in this car. Which generates 47 Bhp power and 58 Nm torque. This engine is smaller than the current Maruti Alto 800 in the Indian market. The most important thing is that this engine only comes with CVT transmission gearbox, in which you do not get the option of manual transmission. However, customers can choose between Front Wheel Drive (FWD) and All Wheel Drive (AWD).
