This week, Microsoft officially announced that version 22H2, the next major Windows 11 update, will be available starting September 26. Through a special event and a post on the official blog, the company behind the operating system said that there are “more than 150 new functions” in its Windows 11 update, the most important of which is Copilot, the new assistant that will be directly integrated into the desktop and that will be powered by AI. Starting with the latter, in this new version of Windows 11, the native MS text application now “automatically saves the state of your session, allowing you to close Notepad without annoying dialogs appearing and then continue where you left off when you return” . This means in short that, for example, there will be no more unsaved documents if your PC turns off due to an accident, such as directly pressing the button when you remember that you have Notepad open.
And for Microsoft Paint (MSPaint), which for decades has lagged behind more advanced software in some basic functions, it will finally add features such as layers and real transparency to the program.
