South Korean automaker Kia has today launched the new top variant X-Line of its famous mid-size SUV Kia Seltos in the Indian market. Adorned with an attractive look and strong engine capacity, the starting price of this SUV has been fixed at Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
This new variant is based on the top specs model GT Line itself, but the company has made some cosmetic changes in the interior of the new variant. Which makes it different from other variants. This new model has been launched in two trims, which comes with petrol 7 speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) and diesel 6 speed automatic transmission (AT). Their price is given below.

With the launch of this new variant, the company is looking to strengthen its hold in the mid-size SUV segment. In the market, this model directly competes with models like Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushak, Nissan Kicks and Tata Harrier. The company introduced its Kia Seltos in the Indian market for the first time in the year 2019. It is one of the best selling SUV in its segment.
What is special in the new variant:
The Kia Seltos X-Line also gets some updates on the exterior, this SUV comes with the exclusive Matte Graffy color option and ‘X’ badge. It also gets an 18-inch crystal cut matte alloy wheel for the first time in the segment. The radiator matte graphite grille with piano black outline, fog lamps with black accents, piano black skid plates make this SUV even more special. The tailgate, out side rear view mirror (ORVM’s) and shark fin antenna have also been given a piano black finish.
As far as the interior is concerned, it is very similar to the previous model. In this, the letter upholstery has been given a blue shade, the company has named it Indio Pera. Apart from this, its seat is similar to the Tech-Line. This SUV has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple Car Play and Android Auto.

In the new X-Line variant, you get Kia’s Euro connectivity with automatic climate control, electrically adjustable driver seat, 360 degree camera, ambient lighting, integrated air purifier, etc. Apart from this, the 8-speaker premium Bose sound system makes your journey enjoyable. For safety, the new X-Line gets six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP (Electronic Stability Program), tire pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, brake assist, front parking sensors, road grip control and more.
This variant comes with two engine options. It is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 138bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. Whereas the diesel version has a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 113bhp power and 250Nm torque. Its petrol engine comes with 7 speed dual clutch transmission and diesel engine comes with 6 speed torque converter gearbox.
