NexGen Announces Extension of Exploration Program to 2023

Minerals

NexGen is providing a key component to address three key global challenges: decarbonization, energy security and energy access for all.

Through exploratory drilling and geophysical surveys, NexGen is pursuing high priority targets for the discovery of additional material mineralization.

NexGen Energy Limited announced the commencement of an extended exploration program until 2023, designed to test the positive results of the 2022 exploration drilling program and potential areas highlighted by last year’s detailed geophysical surveys.

In addition, NexGen plans a substantial geophysical program for the generation of drill targets in the southwestern Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, in NexGen’s high priority mineral tenure areas (SW1, SW2 and SW3) in 2023.

The geophysical program includes cosmic ray muon tomography beginning in 2022 on NexGen’s Rook I property in the Patterson Corridor as part of Ideon Technologies’ Early Access program for the first implementation of innovative wellbore muon detection instrumentation.

high priority

Leigh Curyer, CEO commented that through exploratory drilling and strategic geophysical surveys, NexGen is pursuing high priority targets for the discovery of additional material mineralization.

The focus of this extended exploration program is to test the new “arrow type”. “Mineral zone in its dominant onshore position in the southwestern Athabasca Basin.

The application of muon tomography in 2022 is another example of NexGen’s identification and application of industry-leading technologies that focus on further optimization of specific drilling times, costs and environmental management.

He also said that detailed engineering is being carried out and, in parallel, a specific drilling program involving extensive data analysis. “NexGen is providing a critical component to address three key global challenges: decarbonisation, energy security and energy access for all, in a way that is setting new benchmarks in sustainability for all stakeholders, including capital involves highly efficient use”.

Grant Greenwood, Vice President of Exploration, commented that the 2022 exploration program highlights several areas for follow-up drilling in 2023. The stacked anomalies are now ready to drill.

“In addition, with the recent high-grade mineralization discovery by F3 adjacent to NexGen’s SW1 property, we are excited to refine approximately 12 km of strike.”
