NHL: Connor Bedard does not waste his return with three spectacular goals

Connor Bedard did not miss his first impression during his first – unofficial – game in a Chicago Blackhawks uniform, Saturday night, during a duel against the rookies of the St. Louis Blues.

Bedard scored a hat trick, as well as adding an assist, in his team’s 5-0 victory.

It was Bedard’s first game since April 10, when Regina, his team of the past three seasons, lost in the WHL playoffs.

Bédard had excellent scoring opportunities throughout the game, but was thwarted by Blues goalkeeper Colten Ellis, who did not allow a goal before being replaced by Will Cranley at 10:31 of the second period.

Bedard hit twice with a man advantage. In 2my At that point, “98” reached the right circle before firing a wrist shot into the opposite top corner.

The 18-year-old phenomenon did it again in 3my period running around the left circle before surprising the goalkeeper with a shot as precise and powerful as the first.

Evidently, Bedard had no intention of stopping there. He completed his hat trick with another wrist shot after accepting a pass entering the zone.

The first pick of the last draft was used at center on the first line alongside Nick Lardis and Colton Dach.

Dach also scored a goal, as did Quebec defender Louis Crevier.

Adam Fantilli leaves his mark

Adam Fantilli of the Columbus Blue Jackets was also dominant in a matchup against the Detroit Red Wings.

The third pick of the last draft scored five points in the game for his team, including a magnificent goal when breaking through the opposing defense.

Fantilli now has seven points in just two games since the start of the rookie tournament.
