Nissan sets price for 2023 version of Sentra

The purpose of the date day is to focus attention on the Sentra model, which every year gains more followers in the United States. In the Sentra we get a mid-size sedan that is slightly more expensive than its Versa counterpart and slightly less than its Altima counterpart. In that spectrum lies the Japanese firm Sentra.

“Built for efficiency, built for emotion,” said Nissan while introducing its Sentra, Edition 2023. 2022 business cycle. Second only to the Rogue SUV and the Altima.

The Sentra is not a novelty, it is a well known sedan within the industry. The current generation began rolling out in 2019 and Nissan is expected to officially announce when the next one will arrive. 2024 will be the year the Sentra either gets a facelift, or we’ll be onto the premiere of a new generation.

2023 Sentra Exterior Design

In the body we find a medium-sized saloon, with modern looks and aerodynamic lines. Nissan, without respecting the portrait of a classic sedan, the lines in the Sentra are balanced, not giving the body a rigid look. The rising front end, side lines that narrow the drawing and a slight drop in the rear area that ends in the LED headlights contribute to this.

It’s downright average: 182.7 inches long, 71.5 inches wide and 57.0 inches high, while the wheelbase is 106.6 inches. We are talking about a five-seater car, which has been designed for urban use in its dimensions. You won’t find a clunky, difficult-to-handle sedan in the Sentra. The Sentra, like the Altima, is a sedan designed for routine.

In the aesthetics of the exterior, the 18″ aluminum wheels, the edgy LED headlights, the wide pointed front end with its chrome V-shaped grille are undoubtedly iconic. There is the option of having a two-tone body, if preferred. On the one hand, a shade One roof, the rest of the car in the second, bumpers and mudguards are also counting.

2023 Sentra Interior Design

As for the interior, the Nissan Sentra bet on technology applied for comfort and road safety. The sign about the Sentra’s interior reads, “Technology puts you at ease.” Among these features we find remote engine start system with customization, steering wheel with multimedia controls, heated front seats, keyless ignition.

In the center of the dashboard, the 8” NissanConnect touch screen stands out. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The second screen is, in driving position, 7″. It contains all the information for driving the Sentra using Drive-Assist.

In strictly cosmetic terms, the Sentra is identical to the Altima. Restraint follows with typical youth aspects: the Sentra doesn’t want to be a serious, formal saloon, but is aimed at sub-50 buyers. It can be requested with “Sport Finish”, embroidered steering wheel and seats, details and finish with a color thread that stands out.

2023 Sentra Trims & Features

Nissan offers the same engine in different versions of the Sentra. It is a front engine, gasoline, direct injection (DIG), 2.0 litre, four cylinders in line and 16 valves. Such a combination allows the Sentra to produce a peak power output of 149 hp at 6,000 rpm, while its peak torque sits at 146 pound-feet at 4,000 rpm.

Drive is front, as indicated by the tradition of city sedans and its transmission is the continuously variable Xtronic CVT. With respect to braking, the Sentra employs ventilated solid disc brakes both front and rear, ABS, brake assist and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD).

By the way, the Sentra is available in four versions in the US: S, SV, SR and SR Midnight Edition. In this latest version, the bodywork and wheels come from the factory completely black.

The Sentra is positioned as a strong alternative in that segment of the market, perhaps Nissan’s strongest yet, competing with the mid-size City sedan. Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Nissan Sentra and Nissan Altima: direct competition that regular use sedans seek to “own”.
