The two things are different, but it is clear that as the car grows, so does its demand. In July 2022, Tata’s electric cars Nexon and Tigor dominated. However, the electric car that has grown in demand the most is the Mahindra e-Verito (eVerito). Let’s find out about the top-5 electric car sales from June-July 2022 data.

A total of 2878 units of Tata Nexon EV and Tata Tigor EV were sold last month i.e. July. Its monthly growth in sales was 6.24%. In June, both sold 2709 units. Mahindra eVerito was number five in the list of top-5 electric cars. However, it had the highest percentage of growth. In July, eVerito sold only 26 units, but it grew by 30% monthly. It sold 20 units in June. MG ZS EV is number two with 13.36% monthly growth and Hyundai Kona EV is third with 11.54% growth. At number four is BYD e6, which has a monthly increase of 8.33%.

Features of Mahindra eVerito
Mahindra claims that this is the country’s first electric sedan segment car. The car has electro-hydraulic steering. The car also gets a forward/boost mode, which comes in handy when it comes to extra power. It also features heel hold control. This prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards on slopes. The e-Verito comes in two variants. It has a D2 and a D6. Both the variants offer a range of 181km. The vehicle can be charged at home with a 16 amp plug. It gets 100% charged in 7 to 8 hours. It also supports fast charger.

According to Mahindra Electric, the maintenance cost of this e-car is very low. The e-Verito can beat almost all cars at just Rs 1.15 per km. At Rs 7 per unit, electricity consumption is 18 units (over 110 km). This car comes in two colors. It has Decet Silver and Diamond White. After the subsidy, the ex-showroom price of this car starts at Rs 9.12 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.46 lakh.
