Novak Djokovic says emotional goodbye to Roger Federer: ‘Over a decade of incredible moments’

“Next week’s Laver Cup will be my last ATP event,” the Swiss announced on Twitter. Djokovic and Federer faced each other 50 times, with the Serb leaving the court as the winner 27 times, including four in five Grand Slam finals.

Finally, Djokovic wrote: “Our family wishes your family much happiness, health and prosperity in the future.” Rafael Nadal also said goodbye to Federer in an emotional post on Thursday and described the day as “sad for me personally and for the sport around the world”.
