The Money Robbery: Season 5, Part 2(Spain, MA, subtitled) concludes a gripping international crime drama – a clever fusion of a robbery thriller, a buddy movie and a chess match with the crime supervisors. (Netflix)

True stories: “The rescue“(2021, PG) talks about the brave rescue in 2018 of 12 boys and their trainer from a flooded cave in Northern Thailand (Disney +) and”Combustion”(2021, TV-PG) examines Australia’s catastrophic bushfires in 2019-2020. (Amazon Prime Video)

Apocalyptic comedy “Quiet night”(2021, unrated) stars Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode as hosts of a Christmas dinner at the end of the world. (AMC +)

Much less dark: a family comedy “8-bit christmas(2021, PG), with Neil Patrick Harris and Winslow Fegley, on the quest for a 10-year-old to get the latest video game system for Christmas (HBO Max); and a romantic comedy “Single to the end”(2021, TV-PG) about a man (Michael Urie) asking his best friend to pose as his boyfriend during his vacation home (Netflix).

Animated “Santa Inc .: Season 1(TV-MA), voiced by Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman, is a holiday comedy for seniors (HBO Max; new Thursday episodes).

Also new: animated family specials “Sean the Sheep: Flight Before Christmas“(TV-Y, Netflix) and”Oh these kids: traditions“(TV-G, Paramount +); and a variety of traditional specialties “Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues“(TV-G, Apple TV +) and”Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes“(TV-G, Hulu and Peacock).
