The Odisha government has increased the monthly honorarium to house surgeons in various government medical colleges and hospitals by Rs 8,000 on Saturday. According to an official notification, the house surgeon will now be given a monthly honorarium of Rs 28,000. House surgeons were working on January 22 wearing black badges (badges) with their demands. This increase in honorarium will be applicable from January 1 this year.
Crime Branch finds 894 missing children in 8 days
Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay informed on Thursday that during the eight-day special operation to find the missing children (Odisha Crime Branch), 894 children were found safe by the Odisha Crime Branch. The DGP said, ‘The Odisha Crime Branch conducted a special operation between January 18-25 to find the missing children and save them safely.
During this campaign, the Crime Branch found and rescued 894 missing children in the state. The DGP said, “We will continue this campaign even further and take the harshest action against the accused involved in this crime”.
The DGP informed that out of 894 rescued children, 800 girls and 94 boys are involved. This rescue operation is related to complaints lodged in different police stations across the state regarding 834 missing children.
Kendrapara district police rescued 127 children, while Mayurbhanj traced 111 and Balasore district police traced 88 children. The DGP appreciated the Superintendents of Police of various districts for this good work.
