Honor officially launched the Honor X40 5G which offers high-end specifications (flagship) in China and targets the mid-range market.
The Honor X40 5G will be the successor to the Honor X30 which was launched in December 2021.
Honor claims the Honor X40 is the thinnest smartphone in the world because it has a thickness of around 7.99 mm and it weighs quite light at only 179 grams.
Honor X40 carries a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a screen resolution of 2,400×1,080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a maximum brightness level of 800 nits, a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz, and supports 10-bit color depth.
The Honor X40 is also certified Rheinland Germany because it supports low blue light technology, 1,920 Hz high frequency dimming (PWM high frequency dimming), and is able to reduce stroboscopic effects in low light environments.
The Honor X40 has a circular camera model with a 50 MP (f/1.8) first camera sensor and a 2MP second camera. For the selfie camera, the Honor X40 has an 8 MP front camera.
Honor X40 carries the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset with three RAM variants (6/8/12 GB) and two internal memory variants (128/256 GB).
The cellphone also features a 7GB RAM expansion feature. So, the RAM owned by the device can reach 19 GB.
Honor X40 carries the Android 12 operating system and the Magic UI 6.1 interface. The Honor X40 carries a jumbo battery with a capacity of 5,100 mAH with 40 watt fast charging technology.
Honor claims the Honor X40 can be fully charged (0-100 percent) in 60 minutes (1 hour).
Other supporting features consist of an under-screen fingerprint scanner, 5G support, Wi-Fi 802.11, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The Honor X40 comes in three color variants, namely Rainbow Clouds, Ink Jade Green, and Phantom Night Darknes. The cellphones are sold from 1,499 yuan (Rp 3.21 million) to 2,299 yuan (Rp 4.93 million).
