The new generation Toyota Land Cruiser remains in the news a lot. Not only is it attractive in design, at the same time the company has banned the sale of this SUV due to safety reasons. However, far from reselling, at present, buying this car itself remains a difficult task. Actually, there is a waiting period of years on many variants of Toyota Land Cruiser.
A report in Cars Guide claims that the company is extending the waiting period for the new generation Land Cruiser to four years. According to the report, the reason for this is the interruption in the supply chain. The demand for this SUV is great, but Toyota is finding it difficult to get the components (especially the microchips). However, the report states that the waiting period of up to four years is on select variants, not all.

Japanese automaker Toyota opened bookings for the new-gen Land Cruiser in the home market on August 2, and the SUV has garnered over 20,000 orders so far. Nearly 90% of bookings in Japan are for the ZX and GR Sport trims. Due to such high demand and lack of chips, there has been a long waiting period for SUVs. Last month also the company was unable to manufacture Land Cruiser and the same situation is going to remain the same this month as well.
