Justin Broils started eight games for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2021. Although he started last season as a rotational player for the Sooners due to injuries in the cornerback and safety and some youngsters were unprepared to push Broils into a key role for Oklahoma last year. He played 725 most defensive snaps last season, second only to Pat Fields on defense.
He had the second highest coverage grade per pro football focus among sooners who played at least 500 snaps. Only Delarine Turner-Yale had a better coverage grade last season.
Speaking of Turner-Yale, when we sat down with Sooners Safety in preparation for the NFL Scouting Combine, this was what he had to say when asked which defensive player is going to turn some heads in 2022?
