Only 3 days of vaccine left for 18+, Center refuses to give stock: Delhi government

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has said that there are only three days of vaccines left for people in the age group of 18-44 in Delhi and the central government has refused to give any more vaccines this month.

Citing a letter received from the Center, Sisodia said that Delhi is going to get 3,83,000 doses for the 45+ age group in May, but there will be no more vaccines for people between 18 and 44 years of age.

Sisodia said, “We currently have the vaccine stock, which will last for four days for people over the age of 45, while there is only 3 days of vaccine left for people aged 18-44.” He said that the Delhi government has written to the Center and mother of vaccines.

They have also demanded that the vaccine allocation data be made public by two companies – Serum Institute, the manufacturer of Kovishield and Bharat Biotech, the manufacturer of Kovacsin.

He said, “This is so that we can know how much vaccine has been given to people between 18 and 44 years and how much vaccine has been given to those above 45 years. It is also important for Delhi to know how many people Going to the government and how many are going to private hospitals for vaccination. “

The Delhi government may be accusing the Center of lack of vaccines, but the people of Nizampur village in Delhi say that there is a lack of health facilities in their village. “40-50 people died of corona in 15 days. There is only one dispensary in the village, there is no dispensary in many villages, so it is overcrowded,” said a local.
