FC Barcelona has already called off a summer tour by the United States. In the end, it will last longer than initially planned and the Barca team will be in the US from 19 July to 3 August. These more days served the club to close a friendly room which would lead to improved income and thus more resources.
On this occasion, Barça wanted to copy Real Madrid’s model and would set up a headquarters and from there they would proceed to play individual friendlies. The first of these will be in San Francisco against Juventus, a regular rival in the United States’ summer matches.
The next game will be against Arsenal, initially in Los Angeles on July 26, and three days later, on the 29th, and the classic in Dallas against Real Madrid, a match that seems to create authentic madness on American soil. The previous summer, which ended with a Barca victory with a goal from Rafinha, was a commercial and image success.
This will be the third clash against Real Madrid in the United States. and the setting, one of the best stadiums in the world, AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The last match of the tour will be against Champions League semi-finalists Milan in Las Vegas.
As we already have in Sport, the idea of the Barcelona club is that Leo Messi can accompany the team on the US tour as his presence is crucial to get more resources and organize more events in important stages. In fact, FC Barcelona is looking for places and venues where it can hold big events.
And, logically, he would be the great standard-bearer for Barca during the tour, which, if it has already sparked interest in the United States, could now multiply.
