Packers are forced to fight the Cardinals without the top three recipients

Valdez-Scantling has not played since the Packers win on September 26 in San Francisco, when he initially injured his hamstring at the end of that game. Packers coach Matt Lafler said that Valdez-Scantling ran every day for the week, but apparently that wasn’t enough to convince the medical staff that he was ready to go.

Despite playing without their top three receivers, the Packers started the set with three receivers: Cobb, St. Brown and Rogers. In the second draw, they replaced Rogers with Winfrey and again hit the top three.

The Packers’ next most accomplished receiver on the field after Cobb was St. Brown, who played in his 30th regular season game in the NFL.

Slim in the corner too

As if wide receiver issues weren’t problematic enough, Packers once again had to face stacked Cardinals wide receiver bodies without their top corner protectors.

Main defender Jair Alexander, who suffered a shoulder injury on October 3 against Pittsburgh, is still in reserve with injuries and while the team hopes he can return this season without surgery, he is expected to miss. a few more weeks.

Second full-back Kevin King, meanwhile, missed his fourth game in five weeks, missing his second game in a row with a shoulder injury he suffered against Cincinnati on 10 October. King, who was dubious for the second week in a row and took part in modified light training leading up to Thursday’s game, also missed out on victories over San Francisco and Pittsburgh.
