Colombian actress Paola Rey spoke on Caracol Radio’s 10AM Hoy por Hoy program about the premiere of the second season of “Pasión de Gavilanes” on national television. According to the official synopsis, the story begins with an investigation into the death of a professor, who points to the children of the eldest couple of the Elizondo Kings (Juan and Norma) as possible culprits. A series of dramatic events then occurs that are intended to prove his innocence.
20 years later
Regarding this project, Paola Rey explained that the character of Jimena Elizondo opened doors for her on a professional level and that, despite the passage of time, she remembers it with great affection:
“We never thought we would have a second season. In this new story we will see a stronger Jimena, who was able to achieve her dreams and have a beautiful relationship with Óscar Reyes,” she commented.
On the other hand, he explained that unlike the first season, where his character has a more comic line, in this one he will completely turn around and focus more on the drama and add some action and suspense situations:
“It will change a little and we will be able to see 20 years later what happened to all these characters. The line is rather melodramatic. They proposed something that is often seen today, and that is the option of not having children and devoting themselves to developing as a couple,” he reiterated.
It looks like the second season will arrive on Caracol TV on September 13th, and when Paola Rey was asked about the filming and the premiere of a third, she stated that there is no confirmed date, but she hopes that it will Viewers might identify with this upcoming story with much of the original cast.
