The Municipal Health Directorate in Paz Castillo Municipality, Santa Lucia del Tuy, Miranda State, provided insulin vials to more than 100 patients with type 1 diabetes who were admitted through the city’s outpatient network in Tuyera.
Through the Care Program for Chronic Patients and Endocrinologists, the vials were sent by the Ministry of Health to the Popular Power.
Treatment for patients with diabetes was given at the Villa Tatiana Comprehensive Community Health Area (ASIC) and the Rosario de Sopaire Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI).
Mayor Victor Julio González confirmed that the Paz Castillo Health Department provides medical care and medicines for free to all patients admitted through the ambulatory network.
“This support for the distribution of insulin comes from the national government, which despite difficulties and adversities, continues to meet the needs of its people while guaranteeing their safety,” he said.
