According to PCNU Situbondo President K.H. Muhyiddin Khotib, one of the reasons for the denial was that Hanan Attaki was allegedly one of the administrators of a banned mass organisation.
“As per the information, he was allegedly an HTI administrator who was anti-NKRI,” said KH Muhyiddin Khotib on Detikjatim, Sunday (24/7/2022).
Therefore, he said, the PCNU would strongly refuse if the event would be moved to Situbondo, as has been widely echoed over the past few days.
“Our cause is firm, maintaining democracy by reinforcing the entry of ideologies contrary to the Panchsheel philosophy. It also threatens the integrity of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia,” said a teacher at the Sukorejo Islamic Boarding School.
