Fatal accident in Los Vilos
The fatal accident occurred at 2:30 pm this Wednesday, when the ship was working in the development of the Cannabis Plan 2024, a program to combat illegal cultivation.
The pilot may have lost control after taking off from Pichidangui airfield, causing the plane to crash.
Although the five people aboard the helicopter managed to escape the fire and were assisted by area residents, the plane’s co-pilot, Deputy Commissioner Camila Silva Segura, died during transfer to a care center.
