The demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly in the Indian market, especially in the two wheeler segment, people are taking more interest. While giants like Hero, Bajaj and TVS are gaining popularity in the electric vehicle segment, vehicles from companies like Wardwizard Innovation and Mobility Limited are also gaining popularity among the masses.
Wardwizard Innovations today announced that it has sold a total of 2,500 units of Electric Vehicles (Bikes + Scooters) under its electric vehicle brand Joy e-bike in the month of September. Which is 2036% more than just 117 units in the month of September last year. The company claims that this is the highest ever record sale.
Wardwizard Innovation and Mobility manufactures electric two-wheelers under the Joy e-Bike brand and sells battery-powered bikes such as the Skyline, Beast, Hurricane and Thunderbolt and electric scooters such as the Globe and GenNext Nanu. The company touched 2,000 in sales for the first time in the month of August and the figures for September have gone even further.
Yatin Gupte of Wardwizard Innovations cites several reasons behind the increase in sales of electric vehicles. Due to the Kovid epidemic, most people have become vocal towards personal mobility, apart from this, electric vehicles are being given preference in almost every sector. Apart from this, the subsidy given by the central and state governments on electric vehicles is also motivating the people a lot.
Presently, the automaker has a presence in over 25 cities and aims to increase this number soon. In the company’s famous bike Joy Monster, the company has used a BLDC electric motor of 250W capacity and 72 V, 39 AH lithium battery pack. This bike can run at a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour. The company claims that this bike gives a driving range of up to 100 km in a single charge and the cost of running it is just 25 paise per kilometer.
