Person of interest in stabbing death of four Idaho college students in custody

A 25-year-old man remains in custody in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, in connection with the massacre of college students in Idaho early Friday.

It was initially reported that additional details would be revealed at a press conference at 4:00 p.m. ET.

The incident for which the person was wanted is on November 12, 2022. The university students killed were Ethan Chapin, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, Zanna Kernodle, 20, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21.

Here’s what we know from the research:

  • On the night of 12 November, Goncalves and Mogen, childhood friends, went to the Corner Club bar in downtown Moscow from 10 pm to 1:30 am.
  • According to Moscow police, the two were seen on surveillance video at around 1:40 a.m. at Grub Truck, a food truck in the area, and then at around 1:45 a.m. they were driven home.
  • According to the police report, surveillance footage shows a man in a grub truck and the man who brought them home is not considered a suspect.
  • According to Moscow’s mayor Art Betge, on Sunday, 13 November, four students were believed to have been killed between 3:00 am and 4:00 am.
  • Two people living in the house where the crime took place had a narrow escape in the attack.
