28 September (WNN) — The team announced Tuesday that Philadelphia Eagles left guard Isaac Semalo sustained a Lisfranc injury during Monday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, which requires season-ending surgery.
Semalo is the latest Eagles offensive lineman to suffer a serious injury this season. Philadelphia was already without right guard Brandon Brooks (pectoral) and tackled Jordan Malata (medial collateral ligament sprain) in a 41-21 loss to division rival Cowboys on Monday.
The 27-year-old Semalo was taken off the field in the second half after suffering a leg injury. Nate Herbig replaced him in the starting lineup.
Also on Tuesday, the Eagles issued tight end to Richard Rodgers from the practice squad and placed safety Ke’von Wallace on injured reserve.
Wallace split his shoulder during Monday’s game against Dallas. Marcus Epps filled in for Wallace.
The Eagles (1-2) prepare to play the Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) on Sunday at 1 p.m. EDT at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
