Piaggio launched two powerful 660 cc bikes in India, know the price

Piaggio India has launched its two powerful bikes Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 in the Indian market. The company has priced the new Aprilia RS 660 at Rs 13.39 lakh, while the Aprilia Tuno 660 is priced at Rs 13.09 lakh (ex-showroom India). These bikes have started arriving at Piaggio’s Motoplex dealerships. The RS 660 will compete with bikes like the Honda CBR650R, and the Kawasaki Ninja 650. While the Aprilia Tuno 660 will compete with the Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple RS, and Honda CB650R.

Let us know that Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 were brought to the global market in late 2020 and their launch in India was confirmed at the same time. Both the bikes have a 659 cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. In Aprilia RS 660, this engine generates 99 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 67 Nm of peak torque at 8500 rpm. Whereas in Tuono 660 it generates 95 bhp at 10,500 rpm and 67Nm of peak torque at 8500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox.

The Aprilia RS 660 gets 3-level cornering ABS, adjustable wheelie control, traction control and engine brake control. It also gets cruise control and five riding modes – Commute, Dynamic, Individual, Challenge and Time Attack. The bike has a TFT screen, through which the controls of the bike can be accessed. The RS 660 is more track-friendly with clip-on handlebars and an aggressive riding position, while the Tuono 660 offers upright ergonomics.

Both the motorcycles are available in three color options. The RS 660 can be had in Apex Black, Lava Red and Acid Gold, while the Tuono 660 will be available in Concept Black, Iridium Gray and Acidic Gold paint options. Both the bikes use Kayaba 41 mm USD front forks and asymmetrically mounted rear monoshock. For braking, 320mm dual disc has been given in the front and 220mm rotor at the rear. Both the bikes get 15-litre fuel tank and their weight is 183 kg.
