What is a digital wallet?
Digital wallets are applications developed for mobile devices, such as cell phones, to improve access to financial products and services. The digital wallet eliminates the need to use a card, securely storing the consumer’s payment information.
Using NFC technology, which in Portuguese means “Near Field Communication”, this type of app allows the exchange of data between devices that are physically close to each other, usually at a distance of a few centimeters.
NFC has built-in security features, including the ability to encrypt data during transfer. In addition, the physical proximity required for communication adds an additional layer of security.
