The Internet provider companies agreed that all companies will accept the Supreme Court ruling that ordered Mundo Pacífico to block access to online betting offices.
All of them, together with Mundo Pacífico, have reached an agreement with the authorities of their organization Chile Tecos and are only waiting for the official letter that establishes the complete blacklist.
Total lockdown
The Supreme Court’s measure was announced on September 12 and was aimed at betting platforms such as Betano, Betway, Betcris, Coolbet, Juega en Línea, 1xbet, Rivalo, Betsson, Rojabet, Betwarrior, Betsala and Mi Casino. These companies include the main sponsors of Chilean football.
The authorities’ decision is based on the court decision that declared this company illegal after a formal attack by the Polla Chilena de Beneficencia, which has legal permission to operate this type of betting on the network.
Speaking to La Segunda, Chile Tecos President Alfie Ulloa explained that they will block a total of 23 betting sites following Subtel’s orders.
“Companies are waiting for the government to tell them which sites to block. We are working with companies to understand how this will happen. We also had meetings in this regard with Subtel and the government. The omissions will not be commented on, they will be made up for,” he assured.
Although there is no official date yet, the blocking could occur from this Friday, meaning that users using these platforms will no longer have access and will no longer be able to withdraw the funds they have staked.
