Miami.- A man has been arrested by the police on charges of Child abuse A child was pinned to the ground “multiple times” at a chain store in Miami-Dade after she was accused of shoving her, authorities said.

The man, identified as 31-year-old Patrick Abbott, has been charged with child abuse, according to the arrest report.
Several customers reported seeing Abbott throw the girl to the ground, according to official documents, which are being investigated.
The report states that an off-duty police officer who worked security for the store approached Abbott and claimed to have seen him again dropping the girl off.
According to police, Abbott then walked away from the child, but then picked her up when “bystanders started screaming and ran toward the victim” to help her.
Abbott was arrested hours later, according to arrest records she told detectives she had dropped the baby only once “by accident.”
The man was booked into a Miami-Dade jail, where he is being held on $5,000 bond, records show.
Miami-Dade police said the 4-month-old girl was taken to a local hospital in an undisclosed condition.
Police have not specified what the relationship between Abbott and the child is. Investigation is on to clarify the facts.
