Pooja Hegde has a stellar slate of films lined up next. But getting to this point was not a good road – he’s had his share of ups and downs. The actor doesn’t shy away from talking about it.
“My highest point was when I had six consecutive hits, and it’s been amazing. The lowest point would be the start of my career. It’s not like a movie took off and there was no looking back. It was like one The film didn’t do well, then there came a year when I didn’t have work, then I wasn’t getting the kind of films I wanted to do. When I got that, it didn’t work, and then another The film finally worked for me in Telugu. Since then, it has been amazing,” says the 31-year-old, who has been a part of films like Ala Vaikunthapuramulu and Beast.
She calls it a roller coaster ride, it was fun too. Ask if she is attached to the box office collections of her films, and she denies. “Not at all. I think every film has its own destiny. The moment I start associating myself with the box office, tomorrow if a film doesn’t do well, it will affect me. That’s why you have success or failure. should not be affected equally,” says Hegde.
She recently shot for her film with Salman Khan, and Circus with Ranveer Singh is releasing in December. In Telugu she is doing a film with Mahesh Babu. Does she see this as the best phase of her career? She says, “I don’t want to look at it like this, but as the most blessed phase of my career. I still feel that I have a long way to go, I want to do different kinds of films. Hoon, there are many dream directors I want to work with. There is so much to say as an actor, artist, there is still a lot to be said for me to call this my best phase. When you are a newcomer You always feel more hungry. That’s what I’ve always wanted to be.”
