The Church for Decent Work joins all workers in the world to celebrate World Day for Decent Work, which takes place on October 7 and focuses on how decent work must be healthy work.
On Friday, October 6, a Eucharist will be celebrated in the parish of Stella Maris in the city of Malaga, at 7:30 pm, and then there will be a march to the Plaza de la Constitución where the attendees will be given a bib with the motto “”We advance for decent work”
“The goal of this day is to claim decent work as a right and to achieve the welfare of the community, and to claim the importance that work is the essential means for recognizing the sacred dignity of people , although it is often absent. or dangerous,” said the president of the Catholic Action Workers’ Brotherhood (HOAC), Francisco Guzmán, a member of the Church for Decent Work initiative.
“In 2023 we want to demand a job where our health does not suffer, and to protect life, in accordance with our motto this year: “A decent job must be a healthy job”, to reject the dangerous situation for many. working people in our country, focusing on workplace accidents, which increase instead of decreasing,” added Francisco Guzmán.

On the same day they will give the attendees a bib with the motto “We advance for decent work” to wear during the march and throughout the week, every time you walk, as a sign of the united Church walking with the poor. and “one more We ask you to commit yourself from the union, social and political organizations to the fight so that all people have access to a job that allows us to live with the dignity that we all deserve as son of God,” concluded Francisco.
