Powerball will raise $638 million in the United States

The biggest prize of Powerball rose to $638 million after 25 consecutive drawings without a winner.

The next drawing will take place this Monday evening and the jackpot has a cash value of $304.2 million, according to the drawing site.

The jackpot is the third-largest Powerball prize this year, following Washington’s $754.6 million Powerball win on February 6 and California’s $1.08 billion win on July 19.

The Powerball jackpot was won this Saturday evening after no ticket matched the six numbers drawn: the white balls 8, 11, 19, 24 and 46 and the red Powerball 5.

There were more than 1.2 million winning tickets nationwide in Saturday’s drawing, including two tickets sold in Arizona and Washington that featured all five white balls and won $1 million in prizes. Other big prizes from Saturday evening include 63 tickets with a prize of 50,000 and ten tickets with a prize of 100,000.

The previous Powerball jackpot was won on July 19, when a ticket from California matched all five white balls and the red Powerball to win $1.08 billion, the game’s third prize to reach the billion-dollar mark .
