Prescott throws for 282 yards as Cowboys beat Titans

Nashville, Tenn. ( Associated Press) – Dak Prescott threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns to Dalton Schultz as the Dallas Cowboys beat the Tennessee Titans 27-13 on Thursday for their sixth win in seven games.

The Cowboys (12–4) marked their first consecutive 12-win season since 1994 and 1995, when Dallas won the last of its five Super Bowl titles. Fans chanted “Go Cowboys!” throughout the match.

Dallas still needed to end the regular season by winning at Washington and Philadelphia to clinch a second straight NFC East title. Otherwise, they would end up in 5th place in the conference.

Ezekiel Elliott ran for a one-yard touchdown, recording his ninth straight game with a rushing touchdown. He becomes the fifth player since 2000 with such a streak, joining Shaun Alexander (2005), Priest Holmes (11 games in 2022), Jonathan Taylor (2021) and LaDainian Tomlinson (18 from 2004-05) .

Meanwhile, the Titans lost their sixth straight game after quarterback Ryan Tannehill was placed on the disabled list in the hours leading up to the team reaching the AFC Championship Game. He has 22 players on the disabled list and leads the NFL in using 83 different players.

The game was of no importance to Tennessee in the standings, as the regular season game against Jacksonville would decide who takes the AFC South title. As a result, the Titans made nine starts with Tannehill not counting the other two placed on the disabled list. Among those sidelined was Derrick Henry, the league’s second leading running back.
