The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, emphasized that the BRICS and the New Development Bank of this entity (NDB for its acronym in English) have “a partner, an ally, a friend” in Venezuela. during his visit to the headquarters of the new BRICS Group Development Bank in Shanghai.
The President referred to Dilma Rousseff (President of the NDB) and expressed his belief that “the New Development Bank of BRICS is in very good hands,” while welcoming the representatives of Russia, India, China, South Africa and all its advisers .
Among them, Vladimir Kazbekov of Russia; Anil Kishora from India; Qiangwu Zhou from China and another representative like Leslie Maasdorp.
He told those in attendance that he was “on a state tour in China” at the Asian Giant and highlighted his time in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, which he described as “really impressive, there are still fifty years ahead of us.”
“We are now visiting Shanghai and making new agreements and arrangements for development, business and new economic steps,” he specified during the second point of his tour of the People’s Republic of China.
Agenda in a sister nation
In his words at this mixed meeting, the Venezuelan dignitary also said that he viewed with “great admiration the entire process of the new world geopolitics,” because “without a doubt, a new geopolitics has emerged.”
He expressed his gratitude by saying: “Thank you very much, President Dilma, I am very pleased to welcome you. You are a great friend of Venezuela, you were a great friend of our commander Hugo Chávez and you were a great president of Brazil.”
