Speaking to W Radio from New York at the United Nations General Assembly, President Gustavo Petro confirmed that he held a meeting with Presidents Joe Biden of the United States and Lula da Silva of Brazil on September 19.
“We had dinner and a formal photo last night. (The meeting) was very friendly. “Before we met,” where the leaders delivered the speeches at the United Nations “with Lula (President of Brazil) and Biden,” the president said, adding that Lula was “exuberant” and Biden “in his style.” was, but that both were “very nice.”
President Petro also met with the President of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo, to discuss bilateral relations and the migration crisis in Darién.
“The migration issue of Darién has become one of the global problems of the exodus of humanity, just like the Mediterranean.” These are the two main focuses today, perhaps other massive population flows from the south to the north will also increase. In the next few days I will dedicate part of my time to this issue,” announced the Colombian President.
