New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to give a big gift in his address to the nation on Monday. He has said that from now on in the country people of 18+ age will be vaccinated free of cost.

In the words of PM,This arrangement will be implemented in the coming 2 weeks. In these 2 weeks, the central and state governments together will make necessary preparations according to the new guideline. From Monday, June 21, the Government of India will provide free vaccines to the states for all citizens above the age of 18 years in every state of the country.

They said, “So far, more than 23 crore vaccine doses have been given in the country. The supply of corona vaccine is going to increase in the coming days. There are 7 different companies producing the vaccine in the country. Trial of other 3 vaccines is also going on. Two vaccine trials are going on for children as well.

In his address, the Prime Minister also said that- Today it has been decided that the Government of India will also bear the responsibility of 25% of the work related to vaccination with the states.

Also he said, “Research on nasal vaccine is going on in the country. It will be sprayed in the nose, not with a syringe. If this trial is successful, it will further accelerate India’s vaccine campaign. The Government of India itself will buy 75% of the total vaccine production from vaccine manufacturers and give it to the state governments free of cost. No state government in the country will have to spend anything on the vaccine.

This system will continue so that 25% of the vaccines being made in the country can be taken directly by private sector hospitals. Private hospitals will be able to charge a maximum service charge of Rs 150 for a single dose after the fixed price of the vaccine. The task of monitoring it will remain with the state governments.” The Prime Minister further added.
