New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Mamta Banerjee for the victory in the West Bengal assembly elections. He has said that – Congratulations to Mamata Didi for the victory of Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. The Central Government will extend all possible help to the West Bengal government to fulfill the aspirations of the people and to overcome the COVID-19 epidemic.
Significantly, in West Bengal, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee seems to be getting a clear majority. Significantly, out of 292 assembly seats in West Bengal, a majority of 147 seats were required. Out of these, TMC trends seem to be climbing the stairs for the third time, taking the lead in 210 seats.
At the same time, BJP trends seem to be limited to 80 seats in West Bengal. However, compared to the 2016 elections, the BJP has gained a big lead. Then BJP and allies managed to win only three seats.
It is noteworthy that the hint of victory of Trinamool Congress was found only in the trends, in which TMC was seen to be leading from the beginning. This was the reason that in West Bengal The journalists were called close to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s house. Political analysts saw this as a sign of TMC’s victory. It was then assumed that Chief Minister Banerjee could soon declare victory in a conversation with journalists.
However, Mamata Banerjee’s defeat in the Nandigram seat has certainly soured some of TMC’s victories. It is worth mentioning that till the end, the TMC activists were stuck due to a close fight between Mamata Banerjee and her once-in-a-lifetime Shuvendu Adhikari.
With the counting of votes, the officer had an edge over Banerjee. But in the subsequent rounds of counting, it was reported that Mamata Banerjee managed to win by 1200 votes. But this news proved to be misleading. And in the end the victory fell in the bag of Shuvendu Adhikari. But TMC has appealed to wait by tweeting about it.
In this election, Mamata Banerjee left her traditional Bhawanipur seat and reached Nandigram to face the officer. while Shuvendu Adhikari had spoken out of quitting politics for failing to win this election.
