Meghan Markle’s body language in her prior engagement with the royal family is being deciphered by a body language expert.
Jesus Enrique Rosas cited a 2019 event on his YouTube account, the 50th anniversary of Charles’ investment of the Prince of Wales, where the Duchess of Sussex ‘disregarded’ royal protocol.
Jesus claims Meghan deliberately tried to pounce on William and Kate as she tried to eliminate ranks and enter the first room.
He explained: “It’s a royal engagement when Charles explained royal protocol to the Sussexes and they did it anyway they pleased.
“They were about to enter a room where only senior members could be there at any given time.
“In this case, those who could enter the room were the Queen, Charles, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
“We can see that Charles was going to chat for a while before going over to Harry and wife.
“But the fact that Charles didn’t stop chatting with Harkles didn’t make him go before the Queen.”
He added: “It was Meghan who first broke protocol, because when you zoom in on their feet, Harry had no intention of moving.
“We can imagine that he has been used to these kinds of engagements for many years, so he knows how to behave.
“It’s Meghan who makes the first move.
“She started walking, looking straight at Charles’ face, and she didn’t stop or turn, even to confirm that Harry was after her.
“He just didn’t care.
“That’s when Charles notices that the wife means business and is leaving with them.
“Actually, Charles tends to pause for a second to signal, in this case to Meghan, that they should stand where they are.”
He explained: “He makes very subtle gestures with his index finger, making it clear that he has to be there.
“It is important to notice these clues, as royal etiquette often dictates the timing of certain body language cues.
“William knows they messed up and he turns to see them.”
Trying to understand Meghan’s situation, Jesus said: “I know it can be a challenge for anyone to learn so many rules and protocols, but Meghan’s earlier job was to memorize the script.
“We know it wasn’t a memory issue and more an attitude issue, because Charles was clearly telling her he had to be there.
“I think it was very difficult for rising Montecito stars to understand.”
