State Commission for Conciliation and Medical Mediation of Guanajuato participated in 114 complaints against health institutions in 2022, most are against private hospital or clinic,
Jaime Hernandez CentenoThe State Commissioner for Conciliation and Medical Mediation explained that poor dental care is the main reason in the case of private institutions, as well as gynecological care.
“Mainly in the dental sector and in cases of obstetrics and gynecological care (…) there are more private ones in the medical sector. As a rarity, but in private medicine more complaints persist,” said the official .
In case of public institutions, complaints are about drug shortage and delay in surgery are the main complaints, with IMSS being reported the most.
“It is in public institutions where surgeries and care are delayed. Lack of medicine, that they don’t give them the medicine that suits them, sometimes they send them to buy it and they return the money soon. Do not, ”Jaime Hernandez Centeno explained.
