The Institute of Public and Labor Health (ISPLN) of Navarra has distributed a total of 12,000 calendars in Navarre companies with employees of more than five people, as well as in other institutions and organizations related to the field of work and occupational risk prevention.
The messages on the calendar, in this edition, recall the need to establish and adopt in daily business management those measures that contribute to creating a safe and healthy working environment. In work centers where this is considered, the risks are eliminated or, failing which, all possible measures are taken to reduce them.
Occupational Health Services, moving towards this objective, will focus its activity on two types of action in 2023. On the one hand, in the development of programs for the integration of prevention in business management, and on the other, in the implementation of the rest of the programs included in the Occupational Health Plan 2022-2025.
action plan for 2023
Occupational Health will continue to develop programs this year for the integration of occupational risk prevention into business management. A transversal initiative that aims to improve risk management as well as the effective integration of prevention in companies and workplaces located in Navarra. Autonomous management in preventive matters, which has been widely implemented in the rest of European countries, is recognized as essential to progress in the achievement of a safe and healthy working environment.
The program began last November with the implementation of a pilot project aimed at residential centers for the elderly with a staff of less than 100 people and located in Navarra, with ten centers participating. It is expected that, once the corresponding adjustments are made, it will be extended to other centers and activities.
On the other hand, throughout this year the works scheduled for 2023 of the rest of the programs related to occupational health, which are part of the Navarra Public Health Plan 2022-2025, and which respond to two main strategic lines, will be launched.
The first of these aims to improve the knowledge and prevent the most prevalent work related health problems in the working population of Navarra. Among them, damage caused by exposure to cancer, work accidents, musculoskeletal injuries and psychosocial risks stand out because of their occurrence. Each of them has a specific schedule in the new plan.
The second focuses on improving the organizational and methodological tools for occupational health care, both from the institutions and bodies that make up the preventive system, as well as from the companies themselves and other types of employment relations. For the development of both strategic axes, the commitment and involvement of the entire hierarchical structure of the companies is necessary.
occupational health calendar 2023
As in previous years, the Occupational Health Service has edited and distributed 12,000 calendars in wall and desktop format to 5,500 companies with more than five workers, as well as other institutions and organizations.
The 2023 edition calendar has a theme that combines various aspects of occupational health and safety with elements of nature. Each month’s messages on the occasion aim to remind the measures and aspects that must be taken into account in order to ensure that companies and workplaces are considered safe and healthy working environments and to raise awareness of the need for this purpose. Everyone in the company to raise.
The ultimate aim of the annual edition of this endorsement is for companies to remember in their day to day that safeguarding the health of the workforce beyond legal requirement should be treated as a fundamental objective and shared by all. People, administration and institutions are involved.
