Provincial government launches a new edition of training course for health agents

This afternoon the training course for health agents was officially launched, organized by the provincial government through joint work between the Ministries of Public Health and Education; and the Provincial University of Administration, Technology and Business (UPATECO).

The training will be delivered online, will be free of cost, will consist of various theoretical-practical modules, with their respective assessments, and will last for 4 months.

The quota of applicants with completed secondary studies will be 1,500 people between the ages of 21 and 35.

In the distribution of applicants, consideration will be given to the need of each operational area and the inclusion of people with criteria of sexual diversity and interculturality.

Registration will begin on Monday, May 29 through the website inscripciones.upateco.edu.ar and classes will begin on June 19.

The teaching staff will be composed of professionals who work in directorates, supervisions and programs of the Ministry of Public Health, such as tuberculosis, immunization, maternal and childhood, nutrition, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, health of the elderly, among others.

In addition, knowledge about modules, soft skills and office packages will be covered.

“We are very pleased to launch the second group of courses for health agents, an opportunity we offer inter-ministerially at the express request of Governor Saenz. Primary health care to 1,500 people according to the standards of the health portfolio will be trained in,” said Gabriela Dorigetto, the undersecretary of social medicine.

New training method

By 2021, applicants to serve as a health agent must take and pass an on-the-job training cycle, the curriculum design of which was approved by Joint Resolution No. 0467-070 of the Ministries of Public Health and Education, Culture, Science and Technology I went.

The document seeks to raise the profile and training of health agents to deliver more effective coverage to the population of the province’s various operational areas. This will be a mandatory requirement for joining the provincial state in case vacancies are to be filled.

Attending the launch were the Minister of Public Health, Federico Mangione; Rector of the Provincial University of Administration, Technology and Trades, Carlos Morello; Undersecretary for Social Medicine, Gabriela Dorigato; Juan Pablo Castillo, director of primary health care; Maria de los Desamparados Tallens, Vice Rector of UPATECO; Technology and Business Secretary of UPATECO, Matias Asenato; among other officers.
