The Appeals commission did not accept the new evidence presented by Puebla and confirmed that it lost the match against Xolos by 0-3.
MEXICO.- Club Puebla did not get the Appeal Commission to reconsider the penalty imposed on it for the incorrect alignment of the game corresponding to date seven of the 2023 Apertura Tournament against Xolos de Tijuana, when it lost it is in the table of 0-3.
According to the regulations, Puebla made an incorrect alignment and despite a score of 0-3.
Afterwards, Puebla was not satisfied with the decision and appealed the penalty, while issuing a statement in which it threatened to complain to CAS. Their appeals did not proceed, including new evidence presented to the board by the authorities.
This Tuesday, the Appeals Commission confirmed Puebla’s punishment and explained that “after analyzing the arguments and evidence presented, it determined to confirm the punishment imposed by the Disciplinary Commission.”
Remember that Luis Miguel Noriega, assistant to Puebla helmsman Ricardo Carbajal, is the one who did not appear in the lineup of the match against Xolos de Tijuana.
Puebla is in last place in the general classification of this 2023 Apertura Tournament with only five units added in the nine days of the contest. The last game was defeated by Pumas at Cuauhtémoc Stadium with a score of 0-2.
On the next date 10 in Liga MX, Puebla will visit Atlas, a team that is in fifth position in the overall table with 15 units and that is fighting to stay in the direct classification positions for in the league.
For their part, Xolos de Tijuana is in tenth position in the classification with 11 units, the last place qualified for the Apertura 2023 Play-In.
