Actor R Madhavan reacted after a fan shared videos complaining that a theater in Kolkata had disrupted the ongoing showing of a show by its director Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. Re-sharing the post, R Madhavan tweeted, “There must have been a genuine reason and cause. Please stay calm and show some people love. A humble request. The show will be coming soon. All the love (Rocket, crossed hands and heart red emojis).”

In the videos, people spoke in Hindi and Bengali as they said how their time was wasted while they waited for the show to resume and the administration wandered around. In one of the clips, the employee said in Bengali that one of his employees had picked up the IMP card from ‘the nearest city center, Salt Lake’. In the clip, people also asked for a refund. The video was posted with the caption: “Why did Inox stop the show on his own during the movie #RocketryTheFilm? @ActorMadhavan.”

In another clip, several viewers demanded an immediate refund of their money. A heated argument ensued and the clerk asked a person to wait in a line outside the theater to get a refund. The caption read: “Couldn’t even watch the climax of this movie due to INOX’s mistake. Even they didn’t return the money. Shame on Swabhumi @INOXMovies.”

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, a biopic, is Madhavan’s directorial debut. In the film, he rehearsed the role of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayan. The film is based on the life of the scientist who was falsely accused of espionage in 1994. It was released in theaters on July 1st. The film was enjoyed by a number of celebrities and fans and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19.

Earlier this month, actor Rajinikanth praised the film and wrote a note on Twitter. “The film ‘Rocketry’ is a must-see film, especially for young people. In his directorial debut, Madhavan proved that he is an equal with directors. He showed the sacrifices and sufferings of Padma Bhushan award-winning Nambi Narayanan in the most realistic way. him for making a movie like this,” Rajinikanth shared a note written in Tamil on Twitter.
