In an interview with India Today, Rajkumar said, “Nepotism will always be there, but now there are many opportunities. I have friends who were my classmates but are now gaining recognition, thanks to OTT platforms. Jaideep ( Like Ahlawat) who did this in Paatal Lok and Prateek (Gandhi) in the 1992 scam. Nepotism will remain, but your work and talent will speak.”

He also spoke about the hit films and the films he liked. “Nobody knows the formula for a hit film, you have to keep trying and then leave it to fate. I haven’t really thought about why south films are doing well, maybe because they do well. Movies are there, hard work shows. But I believe cinema goes through phases, at one point we were shooting songs in Switzerland, then we started telling stories from small towns, and now it’s from life. It’s time for big cinema that the South has to offer. But, as an actor, I’d rather do films that I’m proud of, not necessarily something that’s working. Until my producers lose money, I can keep telling stories. I will do films that I will be proud of. I don’t want to be a part of the bunch if my films don’t get made. 100 crores at the box office,” he said.
