The speed of the Corona virus has slowed the pace of the entire country. But Rakesh Tikait is a name who is constantly moving from one state to another. Today (May 2, 2021) too, he arrived in Dhurali village of Ambala to address the peasant laborer Mahapanchayat, for which a crowd of thousands was gathered there.
According to the information, Rakesh Tikait was going to conduct a mahapanchayat in violation of Section 144. But the administration took action on the Kovid rules violations. According to the report of Punjab Kesari, Ambala Police filed a case against Rakesh Tikait under sections 269 and 270 for violating Section 144 and spreading epidemics.
Please tell that Rakesh Tikait had organized a farmer mahapanchayat in Prem Nagar on April 29 earlier. Tikait, while telling the severity of the infection to the people, worked to provoke them during this period. Tikait said, “Amidst the growing transition of Covid-19, the government wants to suppress the voice of the farmers. We are ready to talk to the government. Farmers in Gujarat are the most affected, but if the issue of farmers is not resolved, then the BJP government will implement the Gujarat model across the country. ”
Another farmer leader, Gurnam Singh Charuni, while repeating the language of Rakesh Tikait, said that even if the government imposes Section 144 in the entire country, then they will continue to run the peasant movement. Apart from this, recently, due to the stubbornness of these leaders, a woman from Bengal died on April 30 to join the peasant movement. She was admitted to a private hospital in Tikri Border since 27 April.
It is worth mentioning that in view of the Kovid situation, appeals have been made to the farmer leaders many times to end the peasant movement. But Tikait comes out every time and refuses to take it back. A few days ago, he had said that some farmers had gone to their villages due to harvesting work in the fields and panchayat elections, but now they will also bring back those farmers and the agitation will be increased.
He also challenged the administration and said that if there is any effort, the farmers will answer it. He said that he would stay on the border following the Corona rules, but would not step off the roads until the agricultural laws were withdrawn.
