Ranbir Kapoor interviews Ranbir Kapoor on his talk show titled ‘The Other Kapoor Show’ in a video released by the makers of Yash Raj Films on Friday. Introducing the actor, the interviewer said, “He is here to promote his next film Shershaah. Welcome to Ranveer’s show.” As Ranbir corrects him that his name is Ranbir and the film is Shamshera, another Ranbir exclaims, “Yeah, whatever.”

Secondly, Ranbir praised Ranbir’s legacy – naming his ancestors Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor, before asking, “How does it feel to disappoint them all?” The interviewer told Ranbir that he had a problem with the actor’s last name, explaining that this was the only reason he got his first film Saawariya, even though they both looked alike and auditioned in a towel for the film.

Ranbir Kapoor further trolled the original Ranbir saying that he imitated Charlie Chaplin in his film Barfi, Tintin in Jagga and Sanju in Sanju. As the actor defended his film Tamasha, another Ranbir said that it was copied from his character in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which was copied from his character in Wake Up Sid. Kapoor had also made fun of Kapoor’s ‘terrible act’ in Besharam.

Things turned more serious as Ranbir Kapoor trolled the actor about his multiple girlfriends. He said, “I love Sanju’s dialogue – ‘Meri 350 girlfriends raha hai hai (I have had 350 girlfriends).’ Was it really in the script or was your hidden truth revealed?” As Ranbir Kapoor said that he is now married, the second Ranbir asks him if his intimate short wedding with Alia Bhatt has anything to do with the pending loans taken by him for Jagga Jasoos.

Another Ranbir further asked, “Alia first married Kalank, then Sadak 2, then married you. When do you think her misfortunes will end?” When the real Ranbir pointed out that Alia is ‘amazing’ in Gangubai, another asked, “Are you jealous?” Before leaving Ranbir Kapoor alone and in the dark to promote Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor made many more such taunts during the interview.

Ranbir will be seen alongside Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in Shamshera, which is scheduled to release theatrically on July 22. The period action entertainer will release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
